Protecting nutrients against light and moisture
Many active individuals keep their supplement jars out on the kitchen counter or tossed in a gym bag among sweaty clothes and damp towels. Standard polyethylene bottles gradually allow both oxygen molecules and ultraviolet light to pass through, which can trigger oxidative processes in sensitive amino acid bonds. We therefore package all capsules in thick amber glass.
Functional properties of glass
Amber-colored glass acts as a mechanical and optical filter that extends the shelf life of ingredients without added artificial preservatives:
- UV blocking: The dark glass blocks wavelengths below 450 nanometers, protecting the contents from photochemical breakdown.
- Diffusion barrier: Glass is completely impermeable to moisture from bathrooms and kitchen steam, preventing capsules from sticking together.
- Purity: No plasticizers, phthalates, or bisphenols can migrate from the packaging into the mineral powder.
Home storage and reuse
Store the jar with the lid tightly closed in a cool place, such as a pantry rather than above the stove. When the jar is empty, wash it with warm water and reuse it for spices or seeds, or recycle it with regular glass at your local recycling station.
